Society of the Third Infantry Division - Outpost 60
Outpost 60, a group composed of former service members who served directly with the 3rd Infantry Division or units attached to the 3rd ID during their active duty time from WWII era up to the present time, will be holding their next meeting at Ryan’s Family Restaurant at 1900 Manchester Expressway in Columbus, Ga., 11:15 May 16.
The group is a part of the Society of the Third Infantry Division, the US Army’s oldest organization.
Memberships are open to all service members who have served in the 3rd ID and their spouses.
The group meets roughly three times a year at restaurants in the Bi-City area as well as Ft Benning’s Gibson Dinning Hall.
People interested in finding out more about joining Outpost 60 are encouraged to call Bob Bailey, the secretary for the Outpost, at 334-298-8622.
